Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 14: On the eve of Independence Day, many videos have gone viral on social media in which family members of dreaded active terrorists were seen raising the national flags at their houses during the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. From the Sopore area of Kashmir Valley, a video has gone viral on social media depicting Rayees Ahmad, the brother of the dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist Javed Ahmad seen raising a national flag at his house. As some people reacted that Rayeed Ahmed was forced to raise the national flag, he interacted with some media persons to counter such a narrative. “I waved the Tiranga from my heart. Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 14: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a person, who was impersonating as DySP as well Sub- Inspector in north Kashmir Baramulla district. In a handout , the police said that Police Station Kunzer have successfully apprehended a fraudulent individual who had been impersonating law enforcement officials and scamming innocent citizens. Defer implementation of rules on generic drugs: Doctors' body to Govt

Agencies New Delhi, Aug 14: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Monday demanded that implementation of regulations that make it mandatory for doctors to prescribe generic drugs be deferred, raising concerns over the standard of drugs manufactured in India as less than 0.10 per cent are tested for quality. In a statement, the association said that if doctors are not allowed to prescribe branded drugs, then why such drugs should be licensed at all. Early Times Report BARAMULLA, Aug 14: A day ahead of Independence Day, security forces on Monday detected and destroyed an improvised explosive device in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said here. A patrolling team of the army and police found the IED in a bag near a college in Kanispora area of the district in the afternoon, they said. A bomb disposal squad was summoned to the area which destroyed the IED without causing any damage, they said.
