Jammu, Aug 14: As the countdown for Assembly elections has started with the visit of the full team of the Election Commission of India earlier this month, the Peoples’ Democratic Party stepped up its attack on the arch-rival National Conference.
On Wednesday, the PDP charged former Chief Minister and president of the National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah with breaking the Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) and sabotaging opposition unity in Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP in its social media handle, PDP shared a news item in which it was reported that Dr. Farooq Abdullah got relief in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) scam.

SRINAGAR, Aug 14: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Wednesday quashed charge sheets filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah and others in connection with its money laundering probe linked to alleged irregularities in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA). A single bench order passed by Justice Sanjeev Kumar said no predicate offence was made against the individuals and hence the charge sheet and supplementary charge sheet filed by the ED are quashed.

Jammu, Aug 14: An Army Captain was martyred and a terrorist has been neutralised in the ongoing gunfight in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
Army’s White Knight Corps posted on X stating, “one #terrorist has been neutralised in the ongoing operation.
One AK 47 has been recovered in addition to the M4 rifle.”
