Pak cigarettes, Jinnah currency establish neighboring country’s role in Jammu infiltration bid | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 26: Even as the neighboring country is unwilling to give up its terror designs on Jammu and Kashmir, in the latest the Pakistan role has been yet again established in sponsoring terror into the Indian soil.
The Indian Army has seized a cache of Pakistani brand cigarettes and Pakistani currency along with the arms and ammunition from the body of the foreign terrorist who was killed near the International Border in Rajouri district on August 22.
The evidence is to be used as a part of “dossier against the enemy country.”
The terrorist had got killed when he stepped onto a live mine planted on the border.
The Army got to know about the incident from the hi-tech camera footage of the mine blast that was monitored at the control room.
The video shows the foreign terrorist stepping onto mine as he gets exploded.
As the alert Army jawans rushed to the spot, they found the body of the terrorist and his riffle lying in pieces.

Jammu, Aug 26: A day after foiling a major infiltration attempt on the Line of Control (LoC) the Army on Friday shared a video of Pakistani terrorists who were trying to infiltrate this side of the border from the Uri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
Three terrorists who were trying to sneak into the area were eliminated during an operation launched by 2-Para, 8 RR of the Army, and Baramulla Police.
According to the Army, “These terrorists were detected by electronic surveillance gadgets after specific intelligence inputs were received. Three terrorists were eliminated by alert Army troops”.

Srinagar, Aug 26: A senior Army officer said on Friday that 100-120 militants opposite the area manned by the Baramulla-based 19th Infantry Division were trying to sneak into Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan.
Three armed infiltrators suspected to be Pakistanis were killed on Thursday close to the Line of Control in Baramulla while trying to sneak into the Kashmir Valley through the Uri sector.

Srinagar, Aug 26: A day after three infiltrators were killed in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, the army said the suspected Pakistanis were well prepared for infiltration and their built showed they had undergone military training.

Srinagar, Aug 26: Security forces have recovered a Chinese-made M-16 assault rifle from the three terrorists killed Thursday during an anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control in Uri, with the Army describing the recovery as “unusual”.
The army said two AK series weapons, one Chinese M-16 weapon and ammunition were recovered from the Pakistani terrorists killed in Kamalkote area of Uri while trying to infiltrate into the Indian side.

NEW DELHI, Aug 26 : The Army is set to procure a fleet of light tanks for deployment in high-altitude areas in eastern Ladakh under ‘Project Zorawar’ to bolster its overall firepower and operational prowess to deal with any eventualities.

Data revealed by the National Center for Seismology (NCS) recorded two tremors in J&K on Friday.

Srinagar, Aug 26: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Friday filed a chargesheet in a special court here against an accused in a case related to terror funding, an official said.
