JAMMU, Aug 27: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu had ordered the change of ranges of four police personnel posted in district Kathua, following a complaint against them but after lapse of over one month, none of them have been relieved by authorities due to reasons best known to them.
Sources informed Early Times that these four police personnel including a Head Constable, three Selection Grade police personnel were shunted out from the Kathua district following a complaint against the then Station House Officer Kathua police station.

JAMMU, Aug 27: In the wake of strict restrictions in Kashmir and Line of Control since August 4 (a day before Article 370 was abrogated), the Punjab based drug smugglers reportedly have become active in Jammu and its surroundings to sell drugs to the addicted persons on higher rates.
However, in a sharp contrast Jammu and Kashmir Police department has yet to take the preventive steps to curb this menace.
Since Article 370 was revoked by the Government of India, the restrictions and curfew have been imposed in various part of Kashmir Valley to avoid violence and loss of human lives which has restricted the supply of drugs from Pakistan in Kashmir.
