Jammu, Aug 27: With the appointment of new Advisor to Raj Bhawan expected for the last few months, New Delhi has discussed the matter afresh with Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha during his recent visit to the national capital.
Top sources said during the sidelines of the meeting chaired by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah to review situation in J&K, the issue of Advisors was discussed. Sources said Shah discussed the issue with Manoj Sinha for a couple of minutes and that subsequently some more meetings were held on the issue at various levels.
It was reliably learnt that the names of few of the persons shortlisted for the post were also discussed at length. The sources said the appointment of the new Advisor was expected after a much-expected meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office.
“The final word on the appointment of the Advisors will come only after a word from the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Bhai Modi Ji,” said a source pricy to the issue.

Jammu, Aug 27: The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an attempted infiltration by terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir and arrested a Pakistani national along the international border in Ranbir Singh Pura sector of Jammu region.
A BSF spokesman on Saturday said the incident took place on the night of August 26-27.
“The intruder crossed over to the Indian side and started moving towards the (border) fence,” the spokesman said.
When the troops challenged him, he didn’t pay any heed and kept moving towards fence in an aggressive manner.
“He was fired upon following which he hid behind the gate but troops opened the gate and apprehended him,” the spokesman said.

Jammu, Aug 27: The Indian Air Force (IAF) assisted by the army and administration on Saturday rescued an Hungarian trekker in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, five days after he got lost while climbing a mountain.

Jammu, Aug 27: Six people, including five members of a family, who were found dead inside two houses here 10 days ago, died of an overdose of drugs, which they decided to take to end their lives, a senior police officer said on Saturday.
