Jammu, Aug 3: Bizarre it may sound— but is true that the high profile complaint of gold embezzlement at pious Shri Mata Vashnio Devi shrine has remained a least priority.
According to the details available with Early Times, it was revealed through a RTI a few years ago that crores were siphoned from the shrine by projecting these as huge losses.
It is in place to mention here that around 2 crore pilgrims visit Mata Vaishno Devi shrine every year and make donations in cash, gold and silver.
The Shrine Board gets the metals processed into gold coins. The Board has tied with Mumbai based GOI enterprise which converts this metal into the gold coins.
After knowing about the fraud and misappropriation one social activist Raj Kumar from Jammu filed a complaint with the Prime Minister and President of India to get the matter probed.

Anantnag, Aug 3: At a time when providing healthcare services to the people in their respective areas has been given priority, doctors posted at Primary Health Center in Adlash Magam village were found absent from their duties today.

SRINAGAR, Aug 3: In the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir 590 fresh cases of Corona Virus were reported today while as 11 more people died due to the virus in the past 24 hours. The total number of positive cases reached 22,006 with the total number of casualties being 407.
Srinagar reported five fresh deaths of COVID-19 followed by two deaths each in Jammu and Anantnag and a death each in Baramulla and Ganderbal districts. 377 Corona Virus deaths have been reported in Kashmir valley so far while as in Jammu division 30 such deaths have occurred. Srinagar, Aug 3: Authorities on Monday ordered curfew in Srinagar district on August 4 and 5 in wake of the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370.
“Senior superintendent of of police Srinagar has reported that a series of inputs have been received suggesting that separatist and Pak sponsored groups are planning to observe 5th August 2020 as Black Day, therein apprehensions of violation action or protests are not ruled out.
