After backlash, Farooq, Omar out to hoodwink people again, toe separatist line
Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 4: National Conference president and former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah seems to have finally realised that his party is in quandary due to the recent statements of his son, Omar Abdullah, over abrogation of Article 370.
According to the sources, many senior NC leaders are unhappy over the approach adopted by Omar Abdullah and also over the party's silence on Article 370 ever since the father- son duo was released from captivity earlier this year.
It was only due to this approach that the party's senior leader and chief spokesman Aga Syed Ruhullah resigned from his post. “I have sent across my resignation from the post of Chief Spokesperson of @JKNC. From here on none of my statements should be considered as such,” Ruhullah tweeted last month.
After sensing that other leaders may also toe Ruhullah’s line, NC leadership has taken a complete U- turn vis-a-vis its approach.
As per the reports, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah has invited leaders of many political parties, including Peoples Conference (PC), Peoples Democr...
