Jammu, Aug 4: For a region, which had been victim of over seven decades of alleged corruption and mis-governance mainly at the hands of dynasts, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha was supposed to give a major boost to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of naya Jammu and Kashmir where the people were supposed to reap benefits of good governance.
But even as J&K commemorates the second anniversary of the abrogation of the so called special status on Thursday -August 5, things haven’t been going much in line with the expectations.
Rated among the most honest politicians in the country, Sinha had started his innings by declaring “zero tolerance” against corruption. But even as M-Tech by qualification, Sinha, continues to express his dynamism and commitment towards deliverance of good governance, alleged corruption and arrogance of a section of government officials continues to be a major impediment in the deliverance of the people-friendly administration.

Jammu, Aug 4: The search operation to trace the missing pilots of Ranjit Sagar Lake Dam Chopper crash has resumed with the first light on Wednesday in Basholi area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The search operation resumed in the morning,” Sikander Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Basholi, said.
He said that pilots are still missing and as of now, no whereabouts about them.
The searches were suspended last evening.

Srinagar, Aug 4: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday carried out raids and detained a man for questioning in a case pertaining to terror connection in north Kashmir district of Bandipora.
Official sources said sleuths of NIA, assisted by police and CRPF, raided two residential houses in Chittibanday in Bandipora on Wednesday. “During the raid, the owner of one of the residences, identified as Muzamil Ahmad Bhat, was detailed for questioning,” they said, adding the accused works as a salesman in a hardware store.

Anantnag, Aug 4: After over two years, Anantnag Police has arrested a 40 year old Delhi-based Businessman allegedly involved in a high profile cheating case.
