NC-PDP cold war on statehood! | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Aug 5: The so called Gupkar agreement which had brought the arch rivals –the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party closer to each other around a year ago, seems to have ended as the two parties have started a “cold war” with each other.
Some of the prominent persons known to the two parties are being used to show each other down.
Sources said though initially the two parties had been using communication channels to remain updated over the developments, the same has been stopped for a while now and that both have become rivals again.
Sources said both the parties are using proxies to prove each other down on the social media through their close aides.
One of the prominent persons whose social media posts were often shared by Mehbooba Mufti is now openly targeting the Abdullahs.

JAMMU, Aug 5: On the first anniversary of revocation of Article-370 of Indian constitution, the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leaders have been celebrating the day with gusto but their tall claims of ending discrimination with Jammu have so far been proving deceitful as Jammu has got only indiscriminate establishment of toll plazas as return gift of supporting August 5 move of last year.
After the revocation of Article 370, BJP leadership had claimed that the move would end the decades old discrimination meted out to Jammu at the hands of Kashmir based political parties, however, it has also followed their footsteps by imposing unjust decisions on Jammuites.

SRINAGAR, Aug 5: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Girish Chander Murmu tendered his resignation on Wednesday, the day marking the first anniversary of Article 370 revocation and splitting of the erstwhile J&K State into two union territories.
Early Times has learnt from sources that Murmu submitted his resignation to President Ram Nath Kovind. “ Murmu is already in New Delhi and he may take over as CAG on August 8, the day when Rajiv Mehrishi retires from the central government service,” sources added.
Meanwhile, government run All India Radio (AIR) posted on it’s twitter handle that J&K LG has resigned. He was appointed in 2019.

SRINAGAR, Aug 5: With 559 fresh cases of Corona Virus being reported today the number of positive cases in union territory of Jammu & Kashmir reached 22,955 even as nine more people died due to virus in past 24 hours.
Srinagar reported three fresh deaths of COVID-19 followed by Anantnag and Budgam two deaths each and a death each in Jammu and Bandipora districts. So far 395 people have died due to Corona Virus while as the number of casualties in Jammu are 31. Srinagar tops the graph with 141 deaths.

BARAMULLA, Aug 5: Sub-Judge Baramulla Pravin Pandoh today rejected a bail plea of a man namely Hilal Ahmad Hajam R/o Mangam Wagoora who is accused of treating people with fake MBBS/MD degrees thereby involved in practice of quacking.
