Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 5: As the process for the maiden Assembly elections in the Union Territory has started by the Election Commission of India, the BJP is likely to postpone the election of the J&K president of the party. Sources in the party said that in case the Assembly elections would be held in September, the party was not going to change the incumbent team because it will disturb preparations for polls. Although the tenure of the incumbent J&K president of BJP Ravinder Raina has expired, the party is unlikely to elect a new president at the crucial juncture when the process for elections has started. Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 5: No fresh batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims was allowed to leave the Bhagwati Nagar base camp here for Kashmir as a precautionary measure in view of the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 on Monday, officials said. Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 5: Army troops opened fire after noticing the movement of two groups of infiltrators along the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Monday, officials said. New Delhi, Aug 5: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday issued a “high alert” across all its formations along the 4,096-km India-Bangladesh border in the wake of the developments in the neighbouring country, officials said.
