In J&K, Congress takes bite from AAP, Apni and Azad’s party | Abh Tera Kya Hoga? | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 7: In a major shock for the regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress made a breakthrough on August 7 as leaders from parties including Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal, the Apni Party led by Altaf Bukhari and the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) led by veteran politician Ghulam Nabi Azad joined the “grand old party.”
Several former ministers and lawmakers, including Yashpal Kundal of the AAP, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar of the Ghulam Nabi Azad’s DPAP and Aga Farooq of the Apni Party joined Congress in the national capital at the residence of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. According to the Congress 21 leaders joined the Congress.
In a major setback for the AAP, its leader and former minister, Kundal, joined the Congress.
Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, a former General Secretary, DPAP and two times Legislator, former Vice-Chairman of J&K Handicraft with MoS status, also joined the Congress.
Even Working Committee member of Azad’s DPAP, Naresh K Gupta also joined the Congress. He was also the vice-president of DPAP Jammu Province.

Jammu, Aug 7: Although 20 leaders from Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) and Aam Aadmi Party joined Congress today in Delhi, the absence of former minister Dr. Manohar Lal and two-time MLA from Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia raised many questions.
Highly placed sources said that Congress high-command was more particular about bringing back Dr. Manohar Lal to the party and also convincing Balwant Singh Mankotia to join the grand old party.

New Delhi, Aug 7: India's third lunar mission – Chandrayaan-3 – is in good health and its most critical phase will be the orbit determination process when the spacecraft starts moving closer to the moon from the 100 km circular orbit, Indian Space Research Organisation Chairman S Somanath said on Monday.
Launched on July 14 by the Launch Vehicle Mark-3 rocket, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft is now placed in a 170 km by 4,313 km elliptical orbit around the moon, and a series of maneuvers are planned for August 9 and 17 to place it in a 100 km circular orbit.
The Vikram lander is expected to descend on the moon on August 23.
