Jammu, Aug 8: Amid the widening gap between the common masses and the government, some BJP leaders are up in arms against the style of functioning of some arrogant ‘Babus’ who are treating politicians of J&K, including those of BJP as ‘inferior.”
It was all due to this attitude of such ‘Babus’ that a debate has started within BJP camp about growing alienation among people of the Jammu region. Due to the nationalist mindset, residents of the Jammu region are hesitating to express their anger in open, but local BJP leaders have received several complaints against the attitude of Babus.
Highly placed sources said that during the recent visit BJP national general secretary (organization) B L Santosh said this issue was vociferously raised by senior leaders. “Some leaders sought to draw the attention of Santosh towards complete side-lining of political leadership and hijacking of the entire administration by a coterie of officers who are treating people of Jammu region as inferior”, a senior BJP leader told Early Times.

Jammu, Aug 8: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has been claiming that unemployment rate in the union territory is on decline, but many people are not ready to buy this claim.
According to the officials the unemployment graph has fallen from 19.6% to 10.6%. “Many schemes have been announced to address the unemployment crisis in J&K. Besides creating new job opportunities, loans have been provided to youngsters to set up business units and shops,” said, an official.
He said that the employment scenario in J&K has improved during the past two years and efforts are on to address this burning issue.

Sources within the security agencies said that innocent people have been victimized in lieu of financial dole outs from Pakistan.
