‘Attendance portals not working properly in SED’ | DSEJ directs CEOs to depute senior teachers, lecturers to handle portals | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 8: The biometric attendance system is not working properly in the School Education Department because juniors in the department are handling the SED portal, which are supposed to be managed by the senior teacher or lecturer in the respective institute. Taking serious note of the casual approach being adopted by the officers, the Director School Education Jammu on Thursday directed Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of all the ten districts of Jammu province to depute senior teacher or lecturers to handle the SED portal.
“It has come to the notice of the undersigned that Biometric Attendance System (SAS) and JK attendance School Education Department (JK attendance SED) Faceapp is not being monitored properly by the Chief Education Officers, Principals, Zonal Education Officers and Fleadrnasters of Education Department of Jammu Division”, the order issued by Director School Education reads.

JAMMU, Aug 8: More than 500 pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for the Amarnath cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security on Thursday, officials said. More than five lakh pilgrims have already offered their prayers at the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine during this year’s yatra, surpassing the 4.5 lakh devotees who paid obeisance at the naturally-formed ice lingam last year.
