Jammu, Sept 10: Although the Chief Electoral Officer has extended the last date for receiving objections and suggestions regarding reservations for different categories, the BJP started the preparation of panels for potential candidates for all wards of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).

Jammu, Sept 10: A senior leader of the Apni Party has filed a complaint seeking FIR allegedly against some rivals from another political party ahead of the upcoming Urban Local body polls.
The Apni Party leader has filed a complaint with some social media screenshots against the alleged opponents ahead of the polls where both the groups will be contesting.
Sources said one of the screenshots bears name of a rival group of leaders from another party.

Mendhar/Jammu, Sept 10: Two days after he was reported to be missing from his post near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was traced to his home in Bihar, officials said on Sunday. The jawan was reported missing from the forward post in Bharani in Balakote sector early Friday, following which the BSF lodged a missing person report at the police station concerned, the officials said. The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Bill 2023 were introduced in the Lower House of Parliament on August 11.
