Jammu, Sept 11: Amid brewing resentment against the teaching community of the school education department against the new transfer policy, higher-ups in the School Education Department (SED) have decided not to issue the remaining transfer lists of lecturers of some subjects.
Transfer lists of teachers and lecturers issued by the School Education Department have evoked strong resentment against the teaching community because only influential teachers and lecturers have been adjusted in city schools.
Sources said that a larger number of teachers and lecturers have already given their representation for modifications of their transfers because they have been thrown out in far-flung areas despite the fact that they have served in hard zones.

Srinagar, Sept 11: A suspect object believed to be an improvised explosive device (IED) was defused along the national highway in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday morning, officials said.
