11 killed, 29 injured in Poonch accident | | |

Poonch, Sept 14: Eleven people, including four women, died and 29 more were injured when an overcrowded mini-bus plunged into a deep gorge in Poonch district on Wednesday, officials said.
The bus was on its way to Poonch from Gali Maidan when it met with the accident near Brari Nallah in the border belt of Sawjian around 8.30 am, they said.
The officials said a joint rescue operation by the Army, police, and local villagers was immediately launched.

Jammu, Sept 14: Afghanistan on Wednesday confirmed that its Army and Pakistani military were involved in a clash along the international border.
According to Deputy Spokesperson of Afghanistan Bilal Karimi, the clashes took place in the Dand Patan area in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.
Karimi said on Twitter that military facilities, “in principle”, should not be built close to the Durand Line. He further said that a day earlier, the Pakistani military sought to build an outpost there.
“Some Afghan soldiers went to talk to them, but Pakistani soldiers opened fire which caused casualties,” the spokesperson added.
