Jammu, Sept 14: Although only six days left for campaigning for the first phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the suspense continues over the election manifesto of the Congress party.
With much publicity, the Congress had announced formation of manifesto committee headed by former minister and ex-president of the Pradesh Congress Committee Prof Saif-ud-Soz but the party has failed to release the manifesto so far.
Taking lead from other political parties, Congress had constituted election manifesto committee in the month of July when there was uncertainty over Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

SRINAGAR, Sept 14: Three terrorists were killed on Saturday morning in an overnight encounter with security forces in Baramulla district, police said. They said a cordon-and-search operation was launched in Chak Tapper Kreeri in the north Kashmir district’s Pattan area late Friday night.

RAJOURI/JAMMU, Sept 14: An army personnel was injured in an encounter with terrorists attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri on Saturday, security officials said.
The encounter occurred in the Kalal area of the Nowshera sector when army troops guarding the LoC intercepted a group of terrorists trying to infiltrate into this side, the officials said.
