One more 'hit and run' case: Unarmed police follower killed by terrorists | | | Early Times Report
jammu, Sept 17: In one more 'hit and run' case terrorists on Friday evening shot dead constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Wanpoh area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district.
This is the second selective killing of unarmed cops by the terrorists this week.
Earlier on Sunday, terrorists killed a newly recruited sub-inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Arshid Ahmad after firing at him from a point-blank range in the Khanayar area in the heart of Srinagar city.
Reports said that that terrorist fired upon a constable identified as Bantoo Ji Sharma son of Nathji Sharma near a school in the heart of Kulgam town. He was shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased cop was serving as a follower in Jammu and Kashmir Police and was returning to his home. Terrorists were following him and fired him from point-blank range.

SRINAGAR, Sept 17: Unknown gunmen suspected to be militants shot dead a non-local labourer in Neehama area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district late on Friday.
Official sources said the 35-year-old labourer identified as Shankar Choudary of Bihar was brought to district hospital Kulgam from Neehama where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Dr Muzaffar Zargar, Medical Superintendent District hospital Kulgam, confirmed that non-local had bullet injuries in the head. "He was brought dead," he said. SRINAGAR, Sept 17: Security forces on Friday recovered arms and ammunition, including four pistols, during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources said that following specific information, a joint CASO was launched by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police, Army and CRPF in village Telangam in Pulwama on Friday morning.

SRINAGAR, Sept 17: The Government on Friday informed that 155 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 22 from Jammu division and 133 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 327621. Also, one COVID death has been reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 135 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 34 from Jammu Division and 101 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 76.32 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

jammu, Sept 17: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested a Head Constable deputed in Police Station (PS) Surankote in District Poonch for demanding and accepting bribe after laying a trap to nab him.
