Jammu, Sept 1: Rejecting the provocating statements from across the border, residents of Jammu and Kashmir ignored the first death anniversary of hardcore Hurriyat Conference leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Leaders of Pakistan have asked residents of Jammu and Kashmir to observe hartal and hold processions in different parts of the Kashmir Valley to express solidary with the separatists.
Outrightly rejecting the instigating and provocating calls given by Pakistani leaders, life remained normal in Kashmir Valley there was neither any protest nor any function on the first death anniversary of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Reports said that for the last week, some anti-national elements, sitting across the border, were indulged in posting some highly provocative posts on social media to observe the first death anniversary of Geelani.
Operated from across the border, these Pakistan-controlled social media groups have appealed to the people to hold rallies on September 1 to mark the first death anniversary of Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

Jammu, Sept 1: Even as the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has ordered to reopen the case of the Nadimarg massacre wherein 24 Kashmiri Pandits were brutally murdered in the Pulwama district in March 2003, the development has come as a ray of hope for justice for the Pandit community in general and the survivors in particular.

Srinagar, Sept 1: In a fresh shocker in the Nandimarg massacre wherein 24 Kashmiri Pandits were brutally murdered in the Pulwama district in March 2003, successive regimes had kept the terror mastermind Zia Mustafa away from the Court for over 48 times citing “shortage of adequate security”.
Soon after the Nandimarg massacre, Lashkar commander Zia Mustafa, a resident of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, was caught alive by police while three other accused were killed in encounters.

Srinagar, Sept 1: A Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) boy, who had sneaked to this side of the border inadvertently in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, was handed over by the Indian Army to their Pakistani counterparts on Thursday, defence officials said.
They said that the boy had crossed the Line of Control from a village in Teetwal sector recently and was later detained by the Army. The Indian Army handed over the boy as a goodwill gesture, they added.
