Jammu, Sept 19: Already finding it difficult to clear the party’s stand on the National Conference’s demand of restoring Article 370, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has landed Congress in a difficult situation.
Khawaja sparked controversy by stating that Article 370 could be reinstated in Jammu and Kashmir if the Congress-National Conference alliance wins the ongoing Assembly elections.
This statement has led to a massive debate amidst intense electioneering in Jammu and Kashmir, where the first phase of elections was held on Wednesday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has slammed the Congress-National Conference alliance, saying their intentions have been exposed, and they share the same agenda as Islamabad.
