After Padhyatra in JK, AAP leaders run for ‘greener pastures’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 20: After claiming to have held Padhyatras across Jammu and Kashmir on August 7, the Aam Aadmi Party leaders are literally running for “greener pastures amid dented image” of the party in the national arena.
Sources said whereas dozens of AAP leaders have already quit the party in the last around a month, the fissures developed soon after the party held on foot rallies across Jammu and Kashmir last month.
In a bid to “expose alleged anti youth policies of Bhartiya Janta Party”, the Aam Aadmi Party had organised Padyatras “in all Assembly segments” of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sources said given the “cold response to the Padhyatra followed by the falling image of the party in the national capital, many of the AAP leaders resolved that it was better to call it a day than face further embarrassment.”
Whereas the party, as per the sources, had been telling is cadres that former ministers from parties including National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party would be joining them, no such breakthrough could take place.

Jammu, Sept 20: Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Culture in Union Government and an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Shah Faesal has withdrawn his petition from the Supreme Court challenging the Presidential order to some provisions of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution.
Bureaucrat-turned-politician-turned-bureaucrat was among 23 petitioners who had challenged the Centre’s decision to abrogate some provisions of Article 370.
Shah Faesal’s decision to withdraw the petition comes months after he was taken back into the Indian Administrative Service in April this year and appointed Deputy Secretary in the Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
