Bathindi IED case: NIA conducts searches at multiple locations in J&K | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Sept 21: The sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) with the assistance of police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted searches at eight locations in six districts across Jammu and Kashmir.
A NIA spokesman said that raids were conducted in connection with the Bathindi IED recovery case.
He said searches were conducted at eight locations in Anantnag, Baramulla, Kulgam and Srinagar in Kashmir, Doda and Kishtwar Districts in Jammu region.
He said the case was initially registered as FIR No 0234/2021 dated 27.06.2021 of Police Station Bahu Fort District Jammu, relating to recovery of 5kgs IED from a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant in Bathindi, Jammu on 27.06.2021. “The conspiracy by LeT was aimed at causing an explosion in Jammu using the IED. NIA had re-registered the case as RC-04/2021/NIA/JMU dated 19.07.2021. NIA had earlier arrested three persons in this case,” he said.

2 pilots die in Udhampur helicopter crash | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: Army on Tuesday said both the pilots injured in a helicopter crash have succumbed during the treatment in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu based defence spokesman said, “both the pilots were critically injured during helicopter crash landing, evacuated to the nearest medical facility but later succumbed to their injuries.”
Earlier, Army said two pilots suffered injuries when one Cheetah Helicopter crash landed in Udhampur district.

Baramulla, Sept 21: No fresh contact has been established with militants and a massive search operation continued for the third consecutive day on Tuesday in the woods along Line of Control (LoC) in this north Kashmir district.
Mobile internet service also remained suspended in Uri, where alert security forces foiled an infiltration bid by militants from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) on Sunday.

Srinagar, Sept 21: Alert security forces in the wee hours of Tuesday averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants on road at Humhama area of Srinagar Airport in central Kashmir district of Badgam.
Air traffic was not affected and flights operated this morning at the airport normally, official sources said.

Srinagar, Sept 21: A civilian was on Tuesday injured when militants attacked security forces in central Kashmir district of Budgam, a police spokesperson said this evening.
He said militants fired at security force personnel, who were on an operational duty near village Lassipora Khag in Budgam. “A civilian, identified as Bilal Ahmad Rather, was injured in the firing,” he said.
He said Rather, who received injury in the leg, was immediately taken to a hospital, where his health condition is stated to be stable. “Additional security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers,” he said.
