Amid Canada controversy, NIA issues pictures of accused involved in San Francisco attack | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 21: Amid ongoing Canada controversy, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday released the pictures of 10 wanted accused in the March 2023 case of attack and vandalism at the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, USA.
The NIA also sought information about them from the general public. The agency has issued three separate “request for identification and information” notices against the wanted accused, seeking any information of importance that could lead to their arrest or apprehension.
While two of the notices carry photographs of two accused each, the third notice shows pictures of the other six accused allegedly involved in the case RC-18/2023/NIA/DLI.

New Delhi, Sept 21: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said he has the courage to discuss in the Lok Sabha the issue of the border standoff between Indian and Chinese militaries.
While initiating a discussion on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and other achievements in the space sector in the House, Mr Singh referred to the country's border security and the role of science in protecting the nation's frontier.

Srinagar, Sept 21: Army's Northern Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi on Thursday visited units along the Line of Control in Kashmir and reviewed the operational preparedness, officials said.
The visit of Northern Commander to LoC in Rampur Uri in Baramulla district comes five days after an infiltration bid was foiled at Hatlanga Uri in which three suspected infiltrators were killed. SRINAGAR, Sept 21: A deputy superintendent of police was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital following a warrant from a local court, officials said on Thursday.
Sheikh Adil was arrested by officers from Nowgam police station on Wednesday, they said.
The officer was booked under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code, including sections 193 (giving false evidence) and 201 (destruction of evidence).
The officer was recently placed under suspension.
Taking serious note of the offences against Adil, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted under an officer of the rank of superintendent of police (SP).

New Delhi, Sept 21: With dawn breaking on the Moon, ISRO is now gearing up to try to reestablish communication with its lunar mission Chandrayaan-3's solar-powered lander Vikram and rover Pragyan, to revive them so that they can continue with scientific experiments.
Both the lander and the rover were put into sleep mode earlier this month on September 4 and 2 respectively, ahead of the lunar night setting in on Earth's only natural satellite. So, if ISRO is able to revive them as the Sun rises on the Moon again, information that is derived from experiments that could once again be conducted by the Chandrayaan-3 payloads would be a "bonus".
