Jammu, Sept 28: The so-called simplicity of the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been exposed in an RTI reply of Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa.
In the RTI filed by Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader in the Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, the government has replied that the present Chief Minister of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Bhagwant Singh Mann usually moves with a convoy of 42 cars in his cavalcade.

New Delhi, Sept 28: The ministry of Defense on Wednesday announced Lt General Anil Chauhan (Retired) has been appointed as the next Chief of Defence Staff (CDS). The release also stated that Chauhan will also function as Secretary to Government of India in the Department of Military Affairs.
Chauhan retired as the General Officer Commanding in Chief (GOC-in-C) of Eastern Command in May 2021.
The ministry of defense informed that in a career spanning over nearly 40 years, Lt Gen Anil Chauhan (Retd) had held several command, staff and instrumental appointments and had extensive experience in counter-insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir and North-East India.

NEW DELHI, Sept 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the Union Cabinet decision to extend the scheme, under which over 80 crore people have been getting free ration, will ensure support to them during the festive season.
Noting the Cabinet’s decision on redevelopment of New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus railway stations, he said India’s infrastructure has to be futuristic and the measure reflects this vision of the government.

Jammu, Sept 28: The Jammu and Kashmir State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Wednesday carried out multiple raids and searches at houses of suspected persons in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri in in a terror funding case, officials said.
Three teams carried out simultaneous raids in different areas of Rajouri and Poonch including Dharati village (tehsil Balakote), Kuniyan village (tehsil Haveli, Poonch) and Julass village (tehsil Haveli), they said. The raids, carried out by SIA Jammu with the help of district administrations and police, were aimed at breaking the terror ecosystem and investigate the proceeds of terror funding, the officials said.
