BJP leaders ‘mislead’ central leadership over names of potential candidates | Assembly Elections | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: Although the Parliamentary Board of the party has changed the name of only one candidate in the list issued earlier, the BJP high command has reportedly taken serious note of the protests against the alleged “wrong” distribution of tickets.
Highly placed sources said that instead of depending on local leadership, the BJP's high command has rushed some central leaders to start the damage control exercise.
On the directions of the central leadership, some leaders from Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh reached Jammu to reach out to annoyed leaders.
