Jammu, Sep 5: President of Jammu and Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) Arun Gupta on Sunday asked the government to reveal how many parliamentarians out of 300 visited Jammu?
In an interview to a local news channel Gupta said, “Everyday we see the news reports about parliamentarians visiting J&K but most of them reach Kashmir not Jammu. Only Ananth Kumar Sharma along with his team visited Jammu, others kept their visits confined to the Valley only. I want to ask the helmsmen, is it that Jammu people are non-existent? If 300 MPs can visit Kashmir, then why can’t even three MPs visit Jammu to know about the grievances of the people? Is it that only people of Kashmir have problems and Jammu is devoid of issues.”

Srinagar, Sept 5: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said mechanisation of farming is one of the important factors to transform the agriculture sector and it will lead to sweeping changes and help farmers produce more.
As a part of agricultural mechanisation support to the farmers for broader economic transformation, the lieutenant governor handed over sanction letters for 100 tractors to the farmers and 1,035 threshers for panchayats at Agriculture Complex, Lal Mandi here.

Jammu, Sept 5: Already having missed six deadlines and crores being spent till date, the much hyped artificial lake project on Tawi river still remains in limbo.
Envisaged during the government headed by Omar Abdullah in 2010 the lake missed its first deadline in 2012 followed by 5 others in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Srinagar, Sep 5: Announcing lifting of weekend curfew State Executive Committee (SEC) on Sunday evening said that 10th and 12th classes and coaching centre for Civil Service, Engineering and NEET shall be permitted with limited in-person teaching in the Union Territory (UT) Jammu and Kashmir.

“We thank people for cooperation extended over last four days,” IGP Kumar told a news agency

SRINAGAR, Sept 5: The Government on Sunday informed that 110 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 27 from Jammu division and 83 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 325940.
Moreover, 115 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 31 from Jammu Division and 84 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 69.29 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

Anantnag, Sept 5: The Anantnag district administration has reportedly decided to close stone crushers which are running on alleged state land in Anantnag and Qazigund areas of the district.
According to well placed sources, the district administration after receiving complaints against the stone crushers, has ordered a preliminary enquiry to ascertain the facts.
“During the initial investigation, it came to fore that five stone crushers were operating on state land on Nipora Qazigund and at Gundfatehpora Anantnag,” an official said.
