Postmortem of Phase-I of ‘Public Outreach Programme’ Promises of setting up textile unit at Reasi; work to start on Ratle hydroelectric project confined to papers only 9/6/2021 11:52:22 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 6: The second phase of the much-touted ‘mega public outreach’ programme of the Union Ministers is going to start next week of this month. The nine-week public outreach programme-II in Jammu and Kashmir is going to next week and eight ministers will visit the Union Territory every week. But people of the Jammu region are asking about the results of the first phase of this programe during which 36 Union Ministers had visited 60 locations, 52 in Jammu and eight in Kashmir. Hundreds of promises were made with the people of the Jammu region but these promises remained only on papers. With much publicity, the first phase of this programme was held from 18 to 24 January 2020. During the period Union Ministers were found in every nook and corner of Jammu province. While reaching the public, ministers made a number of promises to change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the Jammu region, who according to the ruling BJP, were facing step-motherly treatment due to Kashmir-centric politics.
