MLA turned Pak stooge has no problem with Indian currency
Runs anti-national campaign and takes pension too!
6/8/2018 11:22:51 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, June 8: The hardliner separatist and staunch Pakistani stooge Ghulam Nabi Sumji has spilled the beans by describing MLA pension, which he is getting despite advocating Pakistan's cause, as his right.
His assertion that he would keep on claiming pension has made it clear to everyone that the separatist politics in Kashmir just revolves around money. "It's strange that on one hand these separatists' preach sedition and advocate the cause of Pakistan. On the other hand they have no problem in taking the money which Indian state provides to them," said an analyst.
Sumji, who is the close aide of Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani, had contested the assembly elections in 1987 from Bijbehara constituency in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. Sumji was an MLA of Muslim United Front (MUF). He resigned in 1989 when the militancy broke out in Kashmir.
A Kashmir watcher said that separatists stand exposed before the people. "The investigations and the subsequent raids carried by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) across Kashmir have proved it beyond doubt that the coterie of separatists has been receiving huge money from Pakistan and other gulf countries to burn Kashmir and they have been successful in keeping the pot boiling for the past 30-years," he said.
It may be recalled that Sumji had recently appealed to the "well off" people in Kashmir to donate Zakaat for Hurriyat Conference led by Geelani. "It's strange that Pakistani stooges have even started begging for money as the funds from Hawala channels have been choked and they are not receiving the bags full of cash anymore," opined an analyst.
He said, "Sumji's statement has made it clear that separatists in Kashmir are obsessed with the currency notes and their only aim is to fill their coffers by selling the dead bodies of Kashmiris."
"These people claim that they are at war with India and want Kashmir's merger with Pakistan but when it comes to taking money from the state-exchequer they forget the war part and just count notes. Most of the separatists' are hypocrites like Sumji as they can stoop to any level for money," the analyst added.
A politician said, "People who take oath as MLAs swear by the Constitution of India and take a pledge to safeguard it. Sumji and his boss the hawk, Geelani have remained MLAs in the past and they too had taken the same oath. Geelani till the recent past was taking MLA pension and Sumji is still taking it. If they oppose India tooth and nail then why do they love Indian currency? Can they answer this question please."
It may be recalled that Sumji had recently written a letter to Assembly Secretary stating: "Sir, with due respect I beg to submit that pension of ex-MLAs has been revised and the arrear dues have been released by the Act. It is therefore prayed that my increased pension along with arrear dues be released in my favour. The photocopies are attached."
