Huge cache of arms recovered from hideout of terrorists in Poonch 1/13/2015 11:45:22 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 13: Police and Security Forces thwarted a terrorists plot to carry out terror strikes by effecting recovery of Motor Bombs besides Grenades and arms/ ammunition from the hideout of terrorists during a search operation in the general area of Tatakuti near Hilkaka adjoining Badgam District under the jurisdiction of Police Station Surankote of district Poonch here today. Reports revealed that Police on a tip off launched a search operation in the general area of Tatakuti near Hilkaka adjoining Badgam District under the jurisdiction of Police Station Surankote area. A column 06 sector RR (Rashtriya Rifle) also joined the operation. The suspected area was cordoned off and during search troops achieved success in locating the hideout of terrorists which culminated in busting of a cave hideout and led to recovery of explosives and ammunition which were hidden in a plastic bucket in the ground . The hideout of terrorists noticed by the troops was smashed and recoveries made from it include ; 02 UBGL , 02 Chinese Grenades , one AK magazine, 103 Pika rounds , 51 AK rounds, one Binocular , 02 Motor Bombs one Icom wireless set battery, 04 Remote Control IEDs , one local made IEDs and blue plastic bucket with lid in which all explosive & ammunition was hidden . The busting of the hideout has succeeded in derailing the nefarious designs of the terrorists and their supporters.
