25 Infantry Division all set to organize various activities in connection with Army Day 1/13/2015 11:45:54 PM Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 13: As part of the commemoration of Army Day on January 15 various units under the aegis of 25 Infantry Division based at Rajouri is organizing various activities to involve the civil population in the celebrations. Units under the Division will be conducting activities like 'health awareness run', 'Swachh Bharat campaign' and promotional activities through street plays, debates and various competitions including essay, slogan writing and painting at various schools on January 15 and 16. A senior army officer said that the Indian Army has a long history of valour and gallantry and has also played a role in nation building both during peace and war. "To inculcate sense of pride, national integration and increase awareness about the Army and to commemorate Army day many activities are planned to be conducted at various places by Army. These activities will also give chance to children to show their talent and increase awareness about role of Army in nation building" said the officer. Army sources said that the 'health awareness run will be flagged off by Major General Saranjeet Singh, GOC, 25 Infantry Division onJanuary 15 which will be followed by Swachh Bharat campaign at various places by Army units and street plays, painting, debate, essay and slogan writing competitions by Army Goodwill Public School and Valley View Army Public School on 16 and 17 January.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
