MENDHAR, Jan 13: A man was today wounded critically in a landmine blast in a border village of Poonch.
Mohammad Bashir, son of Mir Mohammad, was going his home at Degwar, which is situated close to the Line of Control (LoC), when a landmine exploded, resulting in critical injuries to him, according to police sources.
The incident took place after he inadvertently stepped over the landmine, the sources informed.
In the explosion, his left leg sustained severe injuries. He was admitted to the Poonch district hospital but was later referred to the GMCH, Jammu, following deterioration in his condition. |
