| Chemist shop raided, haul of psychotropic drugs seized | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 6: In order to check the menace of narcotic substances and illicit drugs, alert police recovered a huge haul of psychotropic capsules from chemist shop.
Police sources said, "Sheezan Bhat DySP (Ops), alongwith a team headed by Inspector Jatinder Raina SHO Police Station Poonch on the direction of Sr Superintendent of Police (SSP) Poonch, Jatinder Singh Johar laid a trap and recovered huge hauls of 2200 psychotropic capsules from chemist shop located at Daruni Bazaar Poonch, "Baljit Singh the owner of chemist shop allegedly used to purchase one packet of capsules for Rs. 65/- and sell to at double the price to the local youth of the area, police sources said.
They said further investigation is going on to unearth the modus operandi of the chemist and their nexus with other local and non-local associates.
Meanwhile the recovered capsules were handed over the Inspector Drugs and control Poonch for further legal action.
