| Injured dies due to non availability of medicos, protest against health, dist admn held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 25: Surankote witnessed protest demonstration against the health department and district administration after an injured died due to the alleged poor health services and non availability of medico in Sub District Hospital, Surankote Pertinently, four persons received injuries after a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK11/4502 skidded off from the road at Faizlabad. Sources said, "Injured namely Tahir Iqbal,Haroon Maik and Sabir Ahmed were rushed to the GMC hospital while injured namely Fazal Ahmed was taken to the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Surankote who later succumbed to injuries triggering protest." The reports of death of local spread like forest fire and people of the village Faizlabad assembled outside Office of Sub District Magistrate (SDM) and held protest demonstration against Health department and district administration. Alleging that non availability of medicos at SDH resulted into the death of injured, locals raising slogans against health department and district administration staged protest for hours together. However they were informed that SDM and Tehsildar were on leave but the agitated locals amid slogans remained adamant. Later police and district officials rushed to spot and and brought the situation under control. |
