Jammu, Feb 12: To preserve culture and give fillip to Kashmiri language, Samohik Maha Shivratri karikram was organized at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK), Bohri Jammu. Acharya Shiv Prasad Raina, Prant Sanskritik Pramukh, Dharam Jagran Manch, Jammu was the chief guest. The main lecture on Shiv philosophy and its relevance with Shivratri/Hearat was presented by Vimarshi Koul. B L Bhat Chairman Rama Krishna Mhasamlen Nagdandi presided over the function. While speaking he stressed on preserving of our shrines and temples in Kashmir which is prime need of the hour. Earlier, the programme began with the lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries. 'Prairna chiter' -yearly calendar of SSK dedicated to social reformer Kashyap Bandhu and a book namely Gyanarjan was released on the occasion. "Shiv stuti" in Raag Bairvee was presented by Dr Jasmeet Kour a scholar from Institute of music and fine Arts, University of Jammu, while Shiv/Parvati Bakhti Bajan was presented by Shanti Lal Sidh, Osheen, Himanshu Pandita, Anjali Pandita and Sushima Pandita. |
