GDC boys organizes symposium- cum- workshop

UDHAMPUR, Feb 20: To mark the role of radio in the social media, an Intra-College Symposium-cum-Workshop was organised at Government Degree College Boys, Udhampur here today. The programme was presided over by the Principal of the college, Prof (Dr.) S.K. Magotra. In his address, (Prof) S K Magotra said that radio can be used as a viable medium of knowledge by the students. He also emphasized on the increasing popularity of radio in today's world as a passive medium where students love listening to radio while doing their home works or assignments. The resource person of the programme Ms Shwetima, a native of the town and known Radio Jockey at Radio Mirchi 98.3 Jammu whose vibrant presence not only thrilled the audience but made sure that students get their complete package of knowledge by the radio. She interacted with the students and shared her journey which was highly inspiring for students, encouraging them to persistently follow the ir dreams and aspirations, focus on their qualities and potential and most importantly believe in themselves. Spokesperson Anamika Raina who is a Copy-writer at Radio mirchi 98.3 Jammu and also happens to be an alumini of the college shared her experience and motivated students to actively participate in all the college events. As many as, 10 students from different departments took part in the event Meenakshi Rajput emerge 1st while Vikas Kumar and Atul Panday bagged 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
