APS Kaluchak conducts Atal Tinkering Workshop

JAMMU, Feb 24: As part of Government of India initiative to inculcate innovation in young minds via Atal Innovation Mission, Army Public School Kaluchak conducted two days workshop on ATAL TINKERING LAB on February 23 and 24 at Army Public School, Kaluchak (Jammu) to spread awareness amongst the students and teachers about benefits of establishing these labs in schools.
The aim of establishing these laboratories was to provide a platform to students wherein their curiosity, creativity and imagination gets developed into a realistic concept and its practical application. A total of 100 students & 40 teachers from seven Army Public Schools of Jammu Region including Kaluchak, Satwari, Damana, Bidi Bari, Ratnuchak, Miran Saheb and Sanjuwan attended the workshop with lots of interest and enthusiasm. The workshop was conducted by Professor Dhananjay V Gadre and his team from IT Centre for Embedded Product Design, Netaji Subhash Chandra Institute of Technology, New Delhi (NSIT). Teachers and students of all these schools were provided with tinkering kits dealing with embedded computers, electronics components, sensors and related items, to have hands on experience and induce in them 'Love for Science through Technology' These teachers will now act on as mentors for establishing and running Tinkering Laboratories in their own schools to nurture young minds and initiate them in field of innovation.
