12 officials found absent during surprise inspection at different Govt offices

Rajouri, Feb 24: Despite instructions issued, given to government officials by the Deputy Commissioner in the meetings to remain present on duty during duty hours/ to maintain movement registrars, the instructions are openly violated in the district which is evident from the surprise inspections conducted by district / divisional level officers/officials.
During last five days during surprise inspections 53 officials were found on unauthorized absent from their legitimate duties while four offices were found locked during working hours.
Under the supervision of Shafiq Ahmed, ADC (Kotranka) specially constituted teams consisting of Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars paid surprise visits to 19 government offices to ensure the punctuality in the government offices in Khawas, Kotranka and Budhal tehsils.
The team members found three offices closed during working hours including veterinary sub centre, sheep & wool sub centre both at Khawas and AEE, PHE at Kotranka.
Team members also found 12 officials on unauthorized absent which includes five in the office of BDO, Khawas; three in the office of ZEO (Kandi); one each in the offices agriculture (Kandi), AEE, PDD; CDPO (Kotranka) & animal husbandry (kotranka).
"In the office of ZEO Khawas only one orderly was present and exact number of employees couldn't be ascertained as the attendance register was locked in the almiraha. Nine officials from Community Health Centre (CHC) Kotranka and all employees of AFF, PDD office (Kotranka) were shown on field duty" said a senior officer. He added, ADC Kotranka has submitted a detailed report to the office of DDC for further action against the erring officials.
