GCW Parade conducts 6th Academic Council meeting

Jammu, Feb 24: 6th Academic Council Meeting of Govt College for Women (GCW) Parade Ground, Jammu was held under the chairpersonship of Dr. Hernia Aggrawal, Principal of College.
The Council approved all the Agenda items listed for approval and all the members gave their consent to start Post graduate courses in English, Zoology and MCA. The council appreciated the initiative taken by college in starting Ph.D course in CRM&E (Home Science Department).
The Agenda items were threadbare discussed upon by the Council. The Chairpersonship assured the council that all the suggestions put forward by them like starting of statistics, NCC, Hospitality Management and Tourism B.B.A Course at U.G. Level. Doing away with re-evaluation etc would be considered in due course of time.
The meeting was attended by the University Nominees: Prof. J.P Singh Joaral (Department of Statistics) Prof Meena Sharma (Department of Chemistry). The External members; Dr. Sunanda Rani Principal Medical College, Prof. M.K. Jyoti, Prof. Lokesh Verma, Prof Indira Rathore, Rakesh Gupta (President Chamber and Commerce) and Annil Suri (President BBIA) were present in the meeting. The HOD's of each course of study along with other members of Council also attended the meeting. Prof.(Dr.) Sonia Khajuria Member Secretary conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
