JKNTUF holds protest demonstration against Government

Ramban, Mar 3: Anganwari Worker and Helpers of various projects of Ramban district under the banner of J&K National Trade Union Front (JKNTUF) organized a massive protest demonstration against the government in favour of their long pending demands, here today.
Addressing the protestors state president JKNTUF Mohd Gafoor Dar said condemned the anti worker policies of the state government and ICDS higher authorities who are just shedding crocodile tears for the welfare of the workers and not setting their genuine issues.
Dar warned the authorities not to test the patience of workers and helpers and settle the issues without any further delay otherwise we will left be no alternative to intensify the agitation till the settlement of the demands.
While giving details about the demands Dar said that enhancement of honorarium of anganwadi workers and helpers at par with adjoining states particularly Delhi state Rs 10000 and Rs 6000 respectively. Regularisation of workers and helpers who have completed 10 years of service besides release of pending honorarium of worker and helpers for the last more than five months.
He further added that fixation of final seniority lists and holding of immediate DPC meeting to clear all the pending promotions of workers as supervisors, implementation of new pensionary scheme and free insurance to the workers and helpers.
