 JAMMU, Mar 9: The Senior National Judo Championship organized by J&K Judo Association will commence from tomorrow. The championship will be held in the multipurpose Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu till March 12. About 950 judokas, officials, technical officials and office bearers are likely to take part in the championship. Different Committees have been constituted to look after the guests from various states of the country. About 28 state units affiliated to Judo Federation of India have confirmed their participation. Elaborate arrangements of boarding and lodging have been made for the officer bearers and judokas in different hotels, Kalika Dham and Saraswati Dham. Medals, certificates and mementoes will be distributed by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on March 12 at 4 pm. |
