| Residents allege use of sub-standard material in construction of canal | | |  Early Times Report
Doda, Apr 20: Peoples of village Gulamna Pershulla have alleged that substandard material is used for the construction of Canal from Assisi Nala to Gulmana.
The people alleged that due to usage of sub standard material, the canal would not survive for more than six months.
One of the local activist Wahid Hussain alleged, "Instead of sand, some cheap quality of dust is being used. Moreover, the ratio used for concrete purposes of Cement and dust is also not proper".
Zakir Hussain Mir revealed that the main contractor who has been allotted the work has hired a self styled contractor. "Neither the main contractor nor any JE or supervisor paid any visit to the said construction site". |
