| One held with pistol, live round | | |

Jammu, Apr 20: RS Pura police today claimed to have arrested a criminal and recovered one unlicensed pistol and one live round from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today police party of police station RS Pura was on its routine patrolling and established a naka near Baspur and started checking.
"During naka checking one person saw naka party and tried to run away. The naka party over powered and chased swiftly the said person", said police spokesman adding that during questioning he disclosed his name as Raj Kumar alias Raj of Bega, Suchetgarh.
Police spokesman further said that during his personal search one loaded pistol along with one live round recovered from his possession.
In this regard a case under FIR No.51/2018 under section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police station RS Pura. |
