| Kashmir weather conditions to improve from today: Dir MeT | | | Srinagar, Apr 20: The higher reaches of the Valley including the tourist places received a fresh snowfall while as the intermittent rains continued to lash Valley on Friday, bringing the mercury further down.
Director Meteorological (MeT) department, Sonum Lotus told that the higher reaches including Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Drass received a fresh snowfall today while the plains continued to receive intermittent rainfall. He said that the wet spell in the Valley would continue for the next ten hours. "The weather would turn pleasant from Saturday," he said.
, adding that there is possibility of light rains at isolated places on Saturday as well but the weather would mostly remain dry across the Valley.
Meanwhile, the fresh rains as well as the snowfall led to the closure of various roads that include Srinagar-Jammu highway, Sonamarg-Zojila road and historic Mughal road. |
