Teachers Federation demands streamlining of salaries | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Teacher Federation has demanded streamlining of salaries of all the teachers, masters working under various schemes. According to press release, the quarterly meeting of State Working/Executive committee of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federations under the aegis of Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh was held at Trikuta Yatri Niwas Jammu under the chairmanship of Mahendra Kapoor. All India Organising Secretary of Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM).The meeting was attended by all district Presidents, Secretaries and state body of the Federation. During the meeting all the teachers strongly demanded streamline/release of salary of all teachers/Masters working under SSA/RMSA schemes. It was said during the meeting that the teachers working under these two schemes are not paid their salary for the last four months. More than Sixty thousand teachers/Masters working under these schemes are at the verge of starvation. They are facing many difficulties and hardships to run smoothly the expenditure of their families and failed to shoulder the responsibilities of their children and old aged parents. All the teachers alleged that they projected their demands before the SPD (SSA)/(RMSA), Director School Education Jammu, Secretary School Education, Minister for Education, but in spite of that no concrete mechanism was adopted by the Department to resolve the genuine demand of more than Sixty thousand teachers/Masters working under SSA/RMSA schemes . Other issues discussed in the meeting included Membership Drive in the state from May 21, Celebration of Guruvandhan Programme at Zonal level, Framing of Zonal level units of the Federation in the state, Conduct of "Karyakarta Abhiyas Varag" in July, etc. |
