| Inter School District Level Tournament gets underway | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 8: Inter School District Level Tournament for Boys today underwent at at M.A stadium and Dogra Ground Shastri Nagar Jammu respectively. The Tournament in the sports discipline of Basketball, Handball, and Throwball U/14 and U/17 years for the year 2018-19 of District Jammu got underway today. In all 457 Boys drawn across from 14 Zones of Jammu District are taking part in the competitions. The competitions are being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General, Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu is the organising Secretary of the tournament. Earlier the competitions were declared open by Chanchal Kour District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu. While addressing the participants she urged upon the students to remain touch with the game for yeilding better results in the next level of the competitions. Later on she wished the participants all the best during the competitions. The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams of Jammu District for the next level of competitions i.e Inter District, Division Level Competitions. |
