| 8 bovines rescued; truck seized, smuggler escaped | | |

Jammu, May 8: Gharota police today claimed to have foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 8 bovines.
Police spokesman said that last night a truck which was on way towards Nagrota via Gharota road and was signalled to stop at Kalagam. Seeing the police cops, the teuck driver managed to flee leaving the truck on the road side.
Police rescued 8 bovines and seized the truck which was being used in the commission of crime.
Police said that a case in this connection has been registered and manhaunt to nab the abscinding truck driver is on while further investigation is on. |
