| Drug peddler held with 30 gram heroin | | |

Jammu, May 8 : In continuation to operation 'Sanjeevni' launched by SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, a special drive against the drug peddlers and to curb the drug menace and it's circulation among the youth of Jammu, Bagh-e-Bahu police today arrested drug peddler and recovered 30 gram heroin, weighing machine and two syringes from his possession.
Police spokesman said that today Bagh e Bahu Police during Naka checking at Kalika Coloney one motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BJ-0975 driven by one Mandeep Singh of Shiv Nagar, Bandhu Rakh stopped for checking.
"During checking/ frisking 30 gram heroine, 1 small weighing machine and 2 syringes recovered from his possession", said spokesman adding that in this regard a case under FIR No. 40/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
The accused is a known drug peddler, who was earlier arrested in a case registered under FIR No. 8/2017 U/S 8/21/22 at Trikuta Nagar police station.
The arrest and recovery was made by Police team headed by Inspector Satish Kumar SHO, Bagh-e- Bahu under the supervision of SDPO City East Jammu, Arun Jamwal and SP City South, Sandeep Choudhary. |
