CVPP celebrates 8th Raising Day

Kishtwar, June 13: Pakal-Dool Power Project management along with the management of Kwar and Keru Hydro Electrical Power Project today celebrated its 8th Raising Day at NHPC club Kishtwar. The function was presided over by General Manager Pakal-Dool Power Project Shabir Hussain Zargar while General Manager Kwar Verinder Raina, Chief Engineer I/C Dool Hasti Yoginder Kotha, Chief Engineer I/C Kiri Verinder Salman along with employees of all the three Project units attended the function which begins with the lightening of lamp followed by impressive cultural program.
Speaking on this occasion, General Manager Pakal-Dool Shabir Hussain Zargar said that with the opening of Pakal-Dool Power Project which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narindra Modi last month, Kishtwar District will move towards new era of development where not only the area will witness progress on various developmental fronts, but will also produce job avenues for unemployed youths of Kishtwar District.
He said that under social corporate responsibility, CVPP take the construction of Banderkoot bridge constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 6 Crores, alternative road stretch to Banderkoot, black topping of Palmar-Dangduroo road are few among them.
He hoped for positive response from the people of Kishtwar District so that the construction of all the three power projects Viz Pakal-Dool, Kwar & Keru with aggregate capacity of approximately 2100 MW could become reality. He said that AFCON has already awarded the contract for Power House and Tunnel work while JP Associates is all set to get Dam construction work which will ensure job avenues for maximum number of unemployed youths.
In the evening a grand Iftar party was also held in which several political and social activist participated.
