Agencies New Delhi, June 13: A five days Rejuvenation Camp was organized by Children Home Complex for Boys, Alipur at Children Home Complex for boys, Alipur and Observation Home for Boys, Sewa Kutir Complex, Kingsway camp in collaboration with National Youth Awardees Federation of India (State Chapter- J & K) and Expressions Children Homes Organizations of India from 4th to 8th June, 2018. On the concluding of camp, Nitesh Kumar Jha (Clinical Psychologist) the co-coordinator of the program presented a brief summary of various activities done in five days including foot ball, volley ball, recreational games, besides this, group discussions on various topics including child abuse, right to education, child labor, children's right etc, motivational talks were incorporated presenting the role model to the children from the instructor participants and counseling sessions with a professional psychological approach were also incorporated considering issues such as aggression management, self control, self responsibility, discipline and importance of moral values in one's life throughout the camp mentioned by Jha. He also highlighted that around 200 children in conflict with law and 80 children in need of care and protection participated and benefited from the program. On the occasion Dr. Ripu Daman Parihar President NYAFI-J & K expressed his views appreciating the dedicated involvement of the students of Bachelor of Physical Education of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar who were the physical instructors during the camp. He also listened properly the feedback from the children and adolescent participants and was glad to see the happiness on their faces. He quoted the trainers as ambassadors of social change and encouraged the participants to channelize their energy towards sports to live a healthy and happy life. |
