Border people demand up-gradation of Middle school Pargwal | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 13: The residents of Pargwal of Khour sub division have demanded upgradation of middle school pargwal to High school. Established in 1976, Govt Girls Middle School Pargwal has not been upgraded even after launch of Prime Minister's Schemes like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padao'. The residents of Border belt of Pargwal have been demanding upgradation of Girls Middle School to the level of High School since long but nothing was done even though the government recently upgraded 184 schools including 75 Middle Schools. People blamed the Government squarely for ignoring their long pending demand. They alleged discrimination with the Pargwal area on political reasons. They mentioned that several leaders from different political outfits came to them and assured of upgradation of Middle School to the level of High School but none succeeded in mitigating the grievances of people. Senior Congress leader Ram Saroop Sharma condemned the discriminatory attitude of present State Government towards the people of border belt and urged the authorities to initiate measures to redress the long pending demand of upgradation. He said the people will come on the road if the government failed to redress the demand. |
